The First National Conference on Recycling and Waste Industry

The first national conference on recycling industry was held in Mashhad, attended and highly welcomed by a number of recycling experts, scholars, and professionals.
The conference addressed issues such as unique investment opportunities, the grounds for developing and expanding the industry, special recommendations on participation, cooperation and commerce, introduction of Iran’s waste stock exchange market, and unveiling the latest marketing technology for the wastes produced in Iran.

Addressing the participants of the conference, Mostafa Tayyebi, the CEO of Majan Sanat Arshia Company said: “for many years, we have witnessed the great efforts made by the professors, lecturers, and students of technical and vocational colleges to help Iran become independent from the foreigners”. “While our neighboring countries avoid providing us with raw materials, we have managed to stop extending our hands to foreigners for help owing to the efforts made by Iranian professors and students”, he added.

Self-sufficiency in manufacturing the recycling machinery equipment. As another speaker of the conference, Mr. Hamidreza Behmaam (Engineer), CEO of Cheraghi Recycling Machinery Manufacturing Company said:
“Fortunately, in addition to becoming self-sufficient in terms of recycling machinery, we have managed to export the machinery to Iran’s neighboring countries.”
Mentioning The First National Conference on Recycling and Wastes Industry which was held in Mashhad, he added: “I hope that this conference create some appropriate job opportunities in Iran, preparing the grounds for the domestic application of the products manufactured by different companies through presenting products to the participants of the conference”.

Moreover, Mr. Majid Bakhshandeh, the CEO of Iran’s Waste Stock Exchange Market and the keynote speaker of the conference, said: “the market is the most influential waste system in Iran that casts a new look on the recycling and disposing field”.
Referring to the problems existing in the recycling industry and the golden opportunities facing those who are seeking to enter the industry, he said: “as a person who has recently been engaged with the industry, I can say that unfortunately, it suffers from a variety of weaknesses. However, in my view, these weak points can be turned into opportunities”. He further expressed some points concerning the reasons for investing in the waste industry and for trying to develop it. As for the main activities carried out by Iran’s Waste Stock Exchange, Mr. Bakhshandeh said: “we have launched an application called “We Purchase”. The stock exchange is ready to invest in recycling wastes, seeking to encourage public participation. We know that the actors engaged in recycling industry are knowledgeable, experienced experts who are familiar with the cutting edge technology.
